Here you will find a list of the gear I use most often, from paints and brushes to lighting, cameras and lenses. I’ve included links to as many of these as I can find. Some of these are affiliate links, so really help support the site and my channel. It costs nothing extra for you but if you use them, when you next need some hobby gear, it gives me a little commission. If you are looking for miniatures or are shopping more generally try my affiliate links too. You’ll save money and help me out and the links will work for anything across the stores.

For pretty much anything hobby related, all at great prices, head to Element Games. They stock everything from GW to Star Wars legion, as well as paints and tools. Excellent prices and service

I use a number of brushes but my favourites, by far, are the Artist Opus range. They have good bellies, lovely tips, and stay in shape for ages. Not cheap but click the image for 10% off. Well worth it.

The Infinity models are gorgeous and a great place to start if grimdark isn’t your bag. Beautiful sculpts and excellent value. Plus the game is a riot too. Fast paced and action packed.

I’m a big fan of Warmachine and Hordes. Buckets of personality in the sculpts, with really cohesive factions and some epic monsters and creatures. Great fun to paint.

Obviously Warhammer, 40K, Necromunda etc all play a big role in many people’s hobby. Get them here at a huge discount. You’ll find all the minis, games, paints and more here.

For my main airbrushes I use the Harder & Steenbeck Infinity CR plus. It’s a versatile tool and superbly built. Grab one here and I promise you’ll love it. They really are fantastic

My compressor of choice is a simple little one from Sparmax. The Arism is a great small compressor. It’s not too noisy and has plenty of power for miniatures work. It isn’t too hard on the wallet either so I would strongly suggest pairing this with the Infinity.

Paints are clearly one of the essentials for this hobby and there are many to choose from. I use a combination of different brands, sometimes because I like the colour and sometimes because of the flow or other characteristics. I’ve been doing this so long I have most full ranges from many manufacturers but, knowing what I know now, if I had to start all over again I would opt for the Vallejo model colour range. Huge colour selection, great value and of course, excellent quality and in dropper bottles. I’d suggest going for the big paint set to start with, then add what you need down the line. Their metal colour paints are awesome too.
